Continue a little further and you’ll reach the beautiful Readymoney Cove and St Catherine's Castle, which dates back to the 16th century.

A water taxi can take you across to the beautiful village of Polruan. Some hills leading out of the village are not for the fainthearted, but if you can manage to scale them you can enjoy some stunning views of the Fowey estuary, and the town itself from a whole new perspective!

Close to the apartment, a regular car ferry can take you across to the village of Bodinnick, where you can see Daphne du Maurier's family home, Ferryside, where she wrote her first novel ‘The Loving Spirit’.

Fowey’s location offers a great hub for wider exploring if you wish to visit some of the many attractions Cornwall has to offer, like The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, or some of the stunning local beaches such as Polkerris, or the harbour town Charlestown, where shows such as Poldark, Doctor Who and Taboo have been set.

Whether you stay close to Fowey, or venture further afield, the apartment really is the perfect location for those wishing to experience the true Cornwall.
